Grand
emotion 18
Grand Emotion 18. Monumental. Immediate. Alive. Anchored by an 18-inch low-frequency engine and large-format horn architecture, it scales from whisper to symphonic thunder with unforced headroom and front-row intimacy.
Not just sound but atmosphere—the hall opens, air and tone color bloom, and the emotional charge of the performance arrives intact.

Features
Bass System
Grand Emotion 18 is built on an 18-inch, treated paper-cone woofer that combines sheer authority with startling speed.
Housed in a bass enclosure that uses a MATRIX internal lattice, an arched outer shell, and 40-mm walls, the cabinet remains acoustically neutral—no added signature, just the recorded low end with exceptional resolution.
The system reaches down to a ~29 Hz low-frequency resonance, so double-bass fundamentals, timpani, kick drum and synth lines arrive with weight, texture and “breath.”
HIGH-FREQUENCY
A Fostex super-tweeter with an aluminum diaphragm extends to 40 kHz, restoring the air and ambient cues that define real venues.
Transients are quick and clean; the halo around cymbals, the first bite of a bow on string, and the breath before a phrase are rendered with crystalline ease, opening the stage and clarifying depth.
Midrange Driver
Covering the critical 500 Hz–5 kHz band, a horn-loaded 100 mm hand-crafted paper diaphragm is precisely phase-aligned to the bass system and sensitivity-matched to preserve coherence.
The horn’s controlled dispersion paints the room evenly while keeping early reflections in check, so voices lock in with natural color and presence, strings and woodwinds carry their inner grain, and small dynamic inflections remain intelligible at any level.
PERFORMANCE
HIGHLIGHTS
Grand Emotion 18 separates bass, midrange, and treble into fully independent, optimally sized modules.
This decoupled architecture minimizes mechanical interaction and intermodulation, stabilizes imaging, and preserves coherent timing through the 500 Hz / 5 kHz crossover. MATRIX lattice bracing, an arched shell, and non-parallel boundaries suppress standing waves and internal resonances, leaving tone pure, even, and unforced—projected by a large-format horn system into a stable, room-filling stage that feels like a venue, not a loudspeaker.
The result is immersion rather than playback: symphonic climaxes scale without strain, operatic voices carry body and air, and complex passages remain organized and emotionally direct.
In large rooms it delivers concert-hall authority, yet at late-night levels it retains intimacy and nuance, revealing not just the notes but the atmosphere and mood of the performance.
